Hinako is a surf-loving college student who has just moved to a small seaside town. When a sudden fire breaks out at her apartment building, she is rescued by Minato, a handsome firefighter, and the two soon fall in love. Just as they become inseparable, Minato loses his life in an accident at sea. Hinako is so distraught that she can no longer even look at the ocean, but one day she sings a song that reminds her of their time together, and Minato appears in the water. Riding a Wave with You is a touching story on how people live life, drawing some power from visual metaphors along the way.

I personally have watched too much anime, that I can no longer pick up new series without readily detecting the writing patterns the last 10 or so years have tired me with.

Riding a Wave with You, however, breaks away from all these writing weaknesses, and offers you a fresh new story, devoid of today's mainstream anime drivel.

It is a good pick to watch if you can, so I would highly recommend it!
